Part-Time Retail Associate

Job Overview

Planet K is looking for friendly, reliable, and customer-focused Retail Associates to join our team. As a Retail Associate, you'll help create a welcoming shopping experience, assist customers with a wide variety of products, and support daily store operations. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys working with people, thrives in a fast-paced retail environment, and is comfortable learning about a diverse range of products.

Responsibilities

  • Greet customers and provide friendly, knowledgeable customer service
  • Assist customers in finding products and answering questions
  • Operate the point-of-sale (POS) system and accurately process transactions
  • Handle cash, credit card, and other payment methods
  • Restock merchandise and maintain organized sales floors
  • Build and maintain attractive product displays
  • Help receive, unpack, and organize incoming inventory
  • Maintain store cleanliness and appearance throughout each shift
  • Follow company policies and procedures regarding age-restricted products
  • Assist with opening and closing duties as needed
  • Work collaboratively with team members to support store goals and customer satisfaction

Qualifications

  • Previous retail, customer service, or cashier experience preferred but not required
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to multitask and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
  • Comfortable learning about a wide range of products and sharing information with customers
  • Dependable, punctual, and team-oriented
  • Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 30 pounds
  • Must be at least 18 years old

Compensation

  • Starting at $13/hour
  • Part-time schedule (under 30 hours per week)
