Staffing Specialist
Recruiting Solutions has an internal opening for a Staffing Specialist in Florence, SC. The primary purpose of this position is to recruit, screen, onboard, and place qualified candidates while providing exceptional service to both applicants and client companies. This role plays a key part in supporting the hiring process from initial candidate contact through onboarding and assignment management.
What You'll Do
- Recruit, source, screen, interview, and evaluate candidates for temporary, temp-to-hire, and direct hire opportunities.
- Schedule and conduct new hire appointments, completing all onboarding and employment documentation.
- Conduct professional reference checks, employment verifications, background checks, and drug screening processes as required by clients.
- Match qualified candidates to client openings based on skills, experience, and client requirements.
- Maintain regular communication with candidates throughout the hiring and onboarding process to ensure a positive experience.
- Coordinate interview scheduling and communicate hiring updates with candidates and clients.
- Manage employee relations by addressing attendance, performance, and assignment-related concerns while maintaining accurate documentation.
- Maintain candidate records and ensure all information is accurately entered into the applicant tracking system and internal databases.
- Build relationships with candidates, employees, and clients through responsive, professional communication.
- Assist with recruiting initiatives, job postings, hiring events, referrals, and other talent attraction efforts.
- Partner with the recruiting team to fill open positions efficiently while meeting client expectations and hiring deadlines.
- Participate in process improvements that enhance recruiting effectiveness, candidate experience, and overall office efficiency.
- Perform additional administrative and recruiting support duties as assigned.
What Is Required
- Bachelor's degree preferred, or equivalent combination of education and related work experience.
- Previous staffing, recruiting, human resources, customer service, or administrative experience preferred.
- Strong interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills.
- Excellent organizational skills with the ability to prioritize multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office and the ability to quickly learn applicant tracking systems and other recruiting software.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain confidentiality.
- Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with candidates, employees, clients, and team members.
- Positive attitude, strong work ethic, and a customer-focused approach.
