Department: Sales & Marketing
Reports to: Sales Project Manager / VP, Sales & Business Development
Sales & CRM Support Data Quality Enrichment
- Clean and enrich existing CRM data (contacts, roles, interests)
- Enter new accounts and maintain opportunity updates with sales team.
- Log dictated call notes and meeting summaries for sales.
- Distribute prospector activity reports.
- Enter new contacts into CRM.
Market & Competitive Insights
- Deliver brief trend, brand, and category summaries from industry sources.
- Competitive analysis
- Analyze and report on leading brands / trends across TikTok, Sephora, Ulta
- Set up and monitor alerts for new launches (Mintel, Gravel AI)
Business Development
- Build launch/success story database by Factory and Product
- Develop contract manufacturer database (leveraging internal data compiled by Digital Sales)
Marketing
- One day per week will be dedicated to marketing-specific projects working directly with the Marketing Specialist which will include but may not be limited to:
- Web-based formula sheets
- Logo review and updates
- Assist with key marketing tasks and leverage time-saving initiatives
Value-Add Projects
- Identify CRM/reporting efficiencies.
- Translate insights into actionable commercial insights/takeaways.
- General Admin support including Lunch n Learn Prep, travel planning, prototype, sample prep etc.
Qualifications Requirements:

Education: Currently enrolled in or recently graduated from an accredited college or university with a focus in business, business development, and/or science-related field (e.g., Chemistry, Biology, Chemical Engineering, Cosmetic Science).
- Ideally, the internship candidate will be interested in a career in technical sales, marketing/communications and/or business development,
- Software Proficiency: Strong working knowledge of CRM systems, Microsoft Office Suite, including Outlook, PowerPoint, Word, and Excel; ability to perform basic data entry and analysis in lab databases.
- Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication, with the ability to clearly document work, report findings, and collaborate effectively across teams.
- Team-Oriented: Demonstrate ability to work collaboratively within a team environment and take direction from mentors and senior staff.
- Analytical Thinking: Strong analytical skills and attention to detail; capable of troubleshooting, observing, and interpreting experimental results accurately.
- Organizational Skills: Well-organized, reliable, and able to manage multiple tasks with precision and follow-through.
- Professionalism: Maintain a positive, professional attitude; punctual, dependable, and eager to contribute to project goals
- Adaptability: Flexible and willing to take on varied assignments as needed in a fast-paced R&D environment
- Self-Motivation: Proactive and driven to learn, with the ability to take initiative and follow through on responsibilities independently.
