Quality Intern
Responsibilities
- Conducting Quality issue investigations and corrective actions, which will permit cross-functional training with on-site Quality Process Engineers.
- Developing packaging solutions, coordinating with the Sourcing team and suppliers
- Partnering with GE Vernova Packaging Engineer to address packaging deficiencies and implement safety improvements.
- Coordinate with Supplier Quality Engineers and Packaging Engineers to provide Corrective Action to any issues discovered during unloading/storage.
- Structural integrity validation - Evaluating design structural integrity to withstand handling, transportation, and stacking forces.
- Package testing and validation - Creating and testing physical prototypes to identify functional or aesthetic flaws before production.
- Perform daily quality inspections on finished goods and packaging components, maintaining comprehensive documentation to support quality inspections.
- Packaging material evaluation - Examining packaging materials to ensure they are intact, secure, and suitable for protecting products during transportation and storage.
- Perform inbound logistics damage inspections during material delivery/unloading operations
- Partner with Preservation personnel to ensure material in stock is fully preserved to eliminate the chance of damage from elements.
- Responsible for NCR initiation/routing of any non-conformances discovered during incoming inspection/material handling operations.
- Support application of Corrective Actions against any Material-Handling caused NCRs
- Participation in RCA investigations for quality escapes and internal defects.
Qualifications
- Current full-time UWF students majoring in MIS, IT, Business Analytics, and Cyber Security. Current Junior.
- Use and learn Microsoft Office applications and Business applications (NCR / PLM).
