Fund Accountant

Be the financial force behind reliable energy! Take charge of fund accounting, revenue and expenditure analysis, and reporting while collaborating with experienced colleagues. Your work will directly support the services that power our community every day.

What You'll Do:

  • Help manage day-to-day fund accounting by reviewing accounts, revenues, and expenses.
  • Prepare key financial reports, including statements for the year-end report and other regulatory filings.
  • Track and report on capital funds and assist with asset updates each quarter.
  • Support special projects and team requests, such as meetings, account reviews, and improving processes to make work easier.
  • Assist with planning and reporting for ongoing projects and help senior staff as needed.

Employment Status: Full-Time

Minimum Training & Experience

  • Associate's degree in accounting, finance, or a related field; AND
  • Nine (9) years of related experience;

OR

  • Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance or a related field; AND
  • Seven (7) years of professional accounting, grants administration, budgeting, or finance experience;

OR 

  • Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance; AND
  • Current professional certification in accounting or government finance (e.g., CPA, CGFM, or CPFO); AND
  • Five (5) years of related experience;

OR

  • Master's degree in accounting or finance; AND
  • Six (6) years of related experience

 

Necessary Special Requirements

  • Valid Class E State driver's license (or equivalent) at the time of appointment

 

Additional Information

  • Professional certification preferred, such as Certified Public Accountant (CPA), Certified Government Financial Manager (CGFM), or Certified Public Finance Officer (CPFO).
  • Hybrid work opportunity: After successfully completing the probationary period, employees may be eligible for one remote work day per week, based on performance and supervisor approval.
  • Flexible scheduling: Employees may select start and end times between 6:30 AM and 6:00 PM to support work-life balance.
  • Alternative work schedule option: A four (4) 10-hour workday schedule may be available depending on departmental needs. (Note: Employees on a 4/10 schedule are not eligible for remote work.)
