the role

we are looking for a talented, motivated architect ready to lead projects through all phases from concept to construction administration. in this role, you will balance design expertise, project management, and team leadership to deliver high-quality, sustainable spaces on time and on budget.

 

key responsibilities

  • project leadership: oversee multiple projects through all design and construction phases, managing schedules, budgets, and team resources.
  • collaboration & coordination: lead multidisciplinary teams (architects, engineers, contractors) and work directly with clients to translate their vision into actionable plans.
  • site & design execution: conduct regular site visits, monitor progress, resolve on-site challenges, and ensure compliance with design intent and building codes.
  • client engagement: facilitate client meetings, workshops, and presentations to share design proposals and incorporate feedback.
  • culture & innovation: stay current on industry trends and bring a collaborative, continuous-improvement mindset to our office.

 

qualifications

  • experience: 3–5 years in architecture with a track record of managing projects of varying scales.
  • licensure: virginia architect license preferred, or actively on the path to licensure.
  • technical & design proficiency: skilled in revit, with a strong background in building codes and sustainable design principles.
  • pm readiness: comfortable stepping into a project manager role on smaller projects while contributing to production on larger ones.
  • soft skills: exceptional communication, organization, and conflict-resolution skills; a natural team motivator who builds great client relationships.
