The firm targets platform acquisitions, roll-up opportunities, and select special situations across sectors including business services, industrial services, healthcare services, manufacturing, defense, and aerospace.
Dark Alpha Capital works with business owners, executives, investors, family offices, intermediaries, and operating partners to identify, evaluate, acquire, and scale companies with strong long-term potential.
Role Summary
Dark Alpha Capital is seeking a Head of Investor Communications & Strategic Marketing to support the firm’s investor communications, market presence, content strategy, and outbound campaign quality.
This person will help develop and manage the firm’s external messaging across investor materials, website content, email campaigns, thought leadership, acquisition-related communications, and follow-up materials. The role is designed for someone who can communicate clearly with sophisticated business audiences and help strengthen how Dark Alpha Capital is perceived by investors, business owners, executives, and acquisition partners.
The ideal candidate is a strong writer, strategic communicator, and organized marketing operator with experience in financial services, private equity, investor relations, B2B marketing, executive communications, or other high-trust professional environments.
Key Responsibilities
1. Investor Communications
- Draft and refine investor-facing materials, including firm overviews, deal summaries, investor updates, FAQs, and follow-up communications.
- Help translate Dark Alpha Capital’s investment strategy and acquisition focus into clear, professional, market-facing language.
- Support communications with investors, family offices, operating executives, acquisition partners, and other external parties.
2. Marketing and Content Strategy
- Develop and manage content that supports Dark Alpha Capital’s brand, market presence, and business development efforts.
- Create or oversee LinkedIn posts, firm updates, sector commentary, acquisition thesis content, website copy, and other written materials.
- Ensure that all public-facing content is professional, consistent, and aligned with the firm’s positioning.
3. Outbound Campaign Support
- Improve email sequences, follow-up templates, call support materials, and campaign messaging.
- Work with the firm’s outreach and business development efforts to ensure communications are polished, credible, and effective.
- Develop reusable templates and messaging frameworks for investor, acquisition, and partner outreach.
4. Marketing Operations and Execution
- Manage or coordinate with junior team members, interns, contractors, VAs, designers, writers, or other support resources.
- Create content calendars, task lists, review processes, and quality-control standards.
- Track deliverables and help ensure marketing and communications projects are completed on time.

Reporting Structure and Work Environment
Reports To: Managing Partner
Direct Reports: Senior Leadership
Work Environment:
- Standard office hours 9:00 am - 5:00 pm (EST)
- Remote role, with periodic strategic syncs
Compensation
Structure: 100% success-fee based.
This is an upside-based role.
Compensation will be structured as a negotiated percentage participation in Dark Alpha Capital’s firm or sponsor-side economics from successfully closed transactions.
The exact structure will depend on the candidate’s experience, role scope, contribution, and legal structuring. The role is focused on marketing, communications, content, positioning, campaign quality, and firm-building support. It is not intended to be a placement-agent or securities sales role.
Important Role Note
This role is a marketing leadership and execution role. It is not a licensed securities sales role, and any investor-related communications will be handled within firm guidelines and supervision.
Engagement Type
Part-time, fractional, advisory, or full-time-equivalent depending on candidate fit and agreed scope
