About the Role:

The Reporting Analyst at McGohan Brabender plays a critical role in developing, maintaining, and analyzing performance reports that support internal teams and client-facing initiatives. This position is responsible for transforming data from multiple sources into meaningful insights that drive informed decision-making and continuous improvement.

This role is well-suited for an analytical, detail-oriented professional who enjoys working with data, collaborating across teams, and delivering accurate, insightful reporting that supports client and business objectives.

 

Key Responsibilities:

1. Reporting & Data Analysis: Create, update, and maintain queries and inquiries used to generate a wide range of performance and operational reports. Pull, analyze, and interpret data from multiple internal and external sources to ensure accuracy, consistency, and relevance.

2. Performance Insights & Recommendations: Analyze reporting results to identify trends, risks, and opportunities. Assist Account Managers and internal stakeholders by providing insights and recommendations that improve reporting outcomes and support strategic decision-making.

3. Data Management & Quality: Ensure data integrity, accuracy, and consistency across reports and analyses. Identify and resolve data discrepancies and work with internal teams to continuously improve data quality and reporting processes.

4. Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work collaboratively with Account Managers, internal teams, and external partners to gather reporting requirements and deliver solutions that meet client and organizational needs. Build and maintain strong working relationships with insurers and data providers.

5. Continuous Improvement: Identify opportunities to improve reporting processes, efficiency, and usability. Support enhancements to reporting tools, templates, and methodologies to better serve clients and internal users.

6. Additional Responsibilities: Perform other duties as assigned to support the evolving needs of the organization, clients, and reporting function.

 

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree or previous relevant work experience required
  • College course work in finance, mathematics, accounting, information technology or related courses may substitute for experience
  • Demonstrates proficiency in Microsoft Windows software applications, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
  • Strong mathematical skills
  • Must be analytical and possess effective decision-making skills
  • Must be a “self- starter” and take initiative in meeting client’s needs (pro-active versus re-active)
  • Attention to detail
  • Ability to work independently and within a team to accomplish department goals 
  • Actuarial, Insurance or Analytical experience preferred

 

Nice to Have:

• Foundational exposure to SQL, reporting tools, or basic scripting concepts

• Curiosity and willingness to build technical skills over time

• Interest in bridging business analysis with data and technology solutions
