Position Overview
ATF Special Agents play a critical role in protecting the public by investigating complex criminal activity involving firearms, explosives, arson, violent crime, and organized criminal networks. This position supports the Homeland Security Task Force and involves high‑impact investigative and operational work across multiple jurisdictions.
Key Responsibilities
• Conduct complex and sensitive criminal investigations.
• Develop leads, gather evidence, and identify criminal patterns.
• Plan and execute operations including surveillance, searches, seizures, and arrests.
• Coordinate with federal, state, and local law‑enforcement partners.
• Prepare detailed investigative reports and briefings.
Minimum Requirements
• U.S. citizenship.
• Completion of FLETC Criminal Investigator Training Program (CITP) or equivalent federal training.
• Valid driver’s license.
• Ability to pass a background investigation, drug test, polygraph, firearms qualification, and medical exam.
• Willingness to sign a mobility agreement and relocate if required.
