Intern, Monitoring, Evaluation and Data

16-20 hours per week with flexibility to accommodate class schedules.
Compensation: Monthly stipend of $1500 - $2000 depending on experience & workload.
Duration: up to 1 year
We are seeking an intern to support our Monitoring, Evaluation & Learning (MEL) department in strengthening how data is integrated, analyzed, and used to inform decision-making across programs and the organization as a whole. This internship offers hands-on experience in nonprofit evaluation infrastructure, automation, impact measurement, and continuous quality improvement while contributing to mission-driven work that builds the capacity of human service professionals.
LEARNING OPPORTUNITIES
In addition to MEL responsibilities, the intern may have opportunities to explore areas of interest across our broader program portfolio, including child welfare,
prevention, child and labor trafficking, self-sufficiency, and adult services. This role is designed to provide meaningful professional development, exposure to
nonprofit evaluation infrastructure, and experience applying data to real-world community impact.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Support the development and monitoring of
automation efforts for data integration,
analysis, and dashboarding solutions across
organization-wide and program-specific
indicators. - Assist with integrating existing data systems into a new impact measurement software platform to strengthen long-term automation, sustainability, and continuous quality
improvement. - Help monitor data quality through monthly audits and routine review processes.
- Contribute to reporting, data visualization, and special evaluation projects as assigned.
- Collaborate with staff to document workflows, improve data processes, and support practical solutions for program and organizational learning.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Currently enrolled in an undergraduate or graduate program, or a recent graduate, in public health, social sciences, data analytics, statistics, information systems, evaluation, public policy, or a related field.
- Experience with Gen-AI, data analysis, dashboards, or process automation.
- Strong attention to detail and comfort working with data, spreadsheets, or reporting tools.
- Ability to communicate clearly, manage multiple tasks, and work independently with guidance.
- Interest in nonprofit work, program evaluation, data systems, or impact measurement.
- Commitment to learning, collaboration, and supporting mission-driven services.
