About the Job
The Pre-Production Specialists prepares items for movement to productions by primarily laying markers and updates spec sheets and illustrations.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Prepare and maintain spec sheets, illustrations, patterns, grading, and other necessary paperwork.
- Lay markers according to sizing guidelines and industry standards to optimize fabric usage.
- Perform final inspections to ensure orders meet quality standards and accuracy before production completion.
- Manage production data, input yields and manage production data in NetSuite.
- Organize, track and manage samples required for production.
- Update and prepare ecommerce patterns and files for production feasibility.
- Work efficiently to achieve production timelines and company/department targets.
- Contribute to projects and initiatives that align with company objectives.
- Takes initiative to support evolving team and business priorities, including additional responsibilities as needed.
About You
- Understands apparel design, fabric behavior, and garment assembly processes.
- Quickly learns software programs; experience with Optitex, Clo3D and Markers 21 is a plus.
- Ensures accuracy in piece placement for cutting and sewing, minimizing errors and waste.
- Effectively interprets patterns, layouts, and fabric markers for efficient production.
- Performs tasks with precision while maintaining a focus on productivity and cost control.
- Manages multiple tasks efficiently and adapts to shifting priorities.
Education and Experience
- 2 year degree in apparel, design or similar focus
Physical Requirements
- Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
- Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at times.
Position Details
- Pay Range: $18.50-19.50 per hour
- Wage is dependent on experience.
- Full-time, Monday–Friday, based in Eden Prairie, Minnesota.
- To ensure customer needs are met, this position may occasionally require working more than 45 hours per week to accommodate business demands and responsibilities.
- Hybrid work options available.
