Position Type: Part-Time & Full-Time
Pay: $15.00 per hour
Location: In-person (Travel between three York, PA office locations required)
About the Opportunity
Premier Ankle & Foot Specialists is seeking a motivated, dependable, and patient-focused pre-med student to join our clinical team. This internship is designed for students interested in pursuing careers in medicine, physician assistant studies, or other healthcare professions who are looking to gain meaningful, hands-on clinical experience in a fast-paced specialty practice.
Interns will work directly with physicians and experienced medical staff while developing valuable skills in patient care, medical documentation, clinical workflow, and professional communication. We are looking for someone who is eager to learn, adaptable, and thrives in a collaborative team environment.
Responsibilities:
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Prepare patients for physician evaluations and procedures
- Document patient encounters using an electronic medical record (EMR) system
- Answer phones, schedule appointments, and assist with front office operations
- Assist with digital X-rays and office-based procedures
- Clean, sterilize, and maintain medical instruments following proper protocols
- Support physicians and clinical staff in providing high-quality patient care
- Travel between our three York-area office locations as needed
Qualifications
- Interest in medicine or healthcare (pre-med students strongly encouraged to apply)
- Strong communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills
- Ability to multitask and adapt in a busy clinical environment
- Reliable transportation and willingness to travel between offices
- Medical assistant or healthcare experience is a plus, but not required—we are happy to train the right candidate.
