Part-Time Marketing Assistant (at STRAW HAT PIZZA HAYWARD, CA)

 

Position Summary:

The Part-Time Marketing Assistant will support marketing initiatives, assist with event coordination, and help develop new corporate catering accounts for STRAW HAT PIZZA in HAYWARD, CA. This is an excellent opportunity for a student or early-career professional interested in gaining hands-on experience in marketing, sales, and business operations. The role is fully in-person and will occasionally require delivering marketing materials to local businesses. Strong people skills are essential, and experience with social media marketing is a plus. Training will be provided by the employer.

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist in planning and executing marketing and promotional events.
  • Support outreach efforts to develop new corporate catering accounts.
  • Deliver marketing folders and promotional materials to local companies as needed.
  • Help organize marketing materials and coordinate promotional activities.
  • Provide customer service and operational support during in-restaurant events.
  • Collaborate with the owner to brainstorm and implement marketing strategies to increase sales and revenue.
  • Represent the restaurant professionally within the community.

 

Qualifications:

  • Current student or recent graduate in Marketing, Business or a related field (preferred but not required).
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Organized, reliable, and detail oriented.
  • Self-motivated with a willingness to learn and contribute ideas.
  • Comfortable interacting with customers and partners.
  • Interest in marketing, sales, or hospitality industries.
  • Experience with social media marketing is a plus.
  • Ability to travel locally to deliver marketing materials (reliable transportation preferred).

 

Compensation & Work Schedule:

  • Pay Rate: $18.00 per hour.
  • Schedule: Approximately 1–2 days per week
  • Employment Type: Part-Time (In-Person)
  • Location: Hayward, Ca
  • Training: Provided by the STRAW HAT PIZZA.
