Data Analyst Temporary Position

The Los Angeles County Registrar-Recorder/County Clerk (RR/CC) is seeking data-driven individuals interested in applying their analytical skills to public service.

Our department supports elections and vital public services for more than 10 million residents. Recent initiatives such as the Voting Solutions for All People (VSAP) program and the implementation of more than 800 vote centers across Los Angeles County have created significant opportunities for research and data analysis. Current projects involve topics such as voting accessibility, election operations, voter participation, and election quality and integrity.

This role includes:

• Up to one year of full-time employment, with possibility of extension
• Integrative work across various divisions, including Election Services, IT, and Administration
• Interactive data visualization via enterprise-level tools like Microsoft Power BI
• Statistical analysis, reporting, and modeling using R, SQL, and Python
• Opportunities to collaborate and network with data professionals across LA County government
