Keymakers Marketing Intern
Keymakers Marketing Intern — Women's Venture Fund
Location: Hybrid — NYC / Tri-State Area Compensation: Paid, $18–20/hr Duration: Now through October 2026 (flexible start; ideally through full campaign) Eligible class standing: Rising Juniors, Seniors, and Graduate students (Sophomores considered with strong relevant experience — Freshmen and high school students will not be considered)
About the Role
The Women's Venture Fund (WVF) is a nonprofit that has helped 28,000 women build businesses over the past 30 years. This fall, WVF is launching Keymakers — a campaign and community-building effort built around one question: what was your key? The insight, person, decision, or experience that helped someone keep building when the path forward wasn't obvious.
We're looking for a Marketing Intern to help bring this campaign to life through content, storytelling, and social media — working directly with our campaign team toward a major November convening.
What You'll Do
- Create and manage content for Instagram and TikTok tied to the "What's your key?" campaign theme
- Support short-form video production and editing for campaign storytelling
- Assist with graphic design (Canva) for social posts, email, and event materials
- Help coordinate content for our host committee and Seed voices campaign
- Support event-related marketing materials as we approach our October convening
- Track content performance and suggest ways to improve reach and engagement
What We're Looking For
- 1+ semester of real, hands-on experience managing social media or content for an organization, brand, or campaign (not just coursework)
- Comfort with short-form video platforms (TikTok, Instagram Reels) and basic design tools (Canva or similar)
- Strong written communication skills and attention to detail
- Self-starter who can take a campaign theme and run with it creatively
- Available for a hybrid schedule with at least some in-person availability in the NYC area
Why This Role
You'll be working on a real, live campaign — not a simulation — with direct ownership over content that reaches thousands of people and supports a 30-year-old nonprofit's biggest fundraising push of the year. This is hands-on experience with a fast-moving, real-world marketing campaign, plus direct mentorship from WVF's leadership team.
To apply, please submit a resume and a brief note on why this campaign speaks to you. Generic cover letters will not be considered — we're looking for candidates who've engaged with what Keymakers is actually about.
