Clinical Laboratory Technologist (Full-Time | Day Shift)

A well-established healthcare organization in the Capital Region is seeking a Clinical Laboratory Technologist to join its laboratory team. This is a full-time opportunity on a day shift schedule with rotating weekends and holidays.

Position Overview

The Clinical Laboratory Technologist is responsible for performing a variety of laboratory procedures that support patient diagnosis, treatment, and disease monitoring. This role requires strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work independently while maintaining high quality standards.

Key Responsibilities

Perform laboratory testing on patient specimens in accordance with established procedures

Analyze and verify test results for accuracy and completeness

Document findings and maintain detailed laboratory records

Operate, troubleshoot, and maintain laboratory instrumentation

Conduct quality assurance and quality control activities

Follow laboratory safety protocols and regulatory requirements

Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and healthcare professionals to support patient care

Assist with instrument calibration, maintenance, and performance monitoring

Maintain compliance with all departmental and accreditation standards

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Medical Technology, Clinical Laboratory Science, or a related scientific field

Completion of an accredited clinical laboratory training program

New York State Clinical Laboratory Technologist license required

Strong knowledge of laboratory procedures, quality standards, and safety practices

Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced healthcare environment

Work Environment

This position is based within a clinical laboratory setting and may involve exposure to biological specimens, laboratory reagents, and other regulated materials. Candidates should be comfortable working on their feet for extended periods and performing tasks that require manual dexterity and attention to detail.
