Part Time PR + Integrated Marketing Internship
The James Collective is a PR and integrated communications agency that specializes in the CPG food and beverage, luxury wine and spirits, design and travel industries.
Since 2015, we have been driving awareness to build unmissable brands from our bases in NYC + the SF Bay Area/ Wine Country.
If you’re an organized self-starter who is looking for somewhere to learn the ropes, wear many hats and get exposure to great local and national clients, we’d love to hear from you! This internship is fully remote, with occasional opportunities for in-person collaboration for candidates located in the New York City or San Francisco Bay Area.
Requirements:
- Outgoing, adaptable personality
- Strong verbal communication skills
- Good writing skills and a desire to write
- A basic understanding of public relations and social media marketing, its purposes and tools
- Entrepreneurial spirit that isn’t afraid to ‘figure things out’
- Strong work ethic
- Professional demeanor
- Enrollment in a university program, preferably within marketing, PR/journalism, business or related areas.
- Given that we work with wine and restaurants, we prefer candidates who are 21 years of age or older
Responsibilities Include:
- Research and compile news roundup of clients
- Create social media campaigns and engage influencers
- Draft content calendars and engage on social media
- Compile media lists and research documents
- Participate in client meetings and actively take notes as appropriate
- Write media-facing communications for personal portfolio
- Research new opportunities and potential clients
- Support event management
- Develop a keen understanding of the role of people and press in the digital space
- Ability to multitask and prioritize
- Set meetings and manage schedules
- Attend networking events and meet-ups
- Research current trends and news
- Provide administrative support to assist with daily business operations
