Events & Programs Internship, Fall 2026

Position Summary

The Global Business Alliance (GBA) is seeking an undergraduate or graduate student interested in events and programming, for its Fall 2026 Events & Programs Internship. The internship is an excellent way for inquisitive students interested in customer relationship and event management to gain valuable experience while advancing their educational pursuits. 

GBA currently operates with a hybrid telecommuting and in-person work model. You must be in the Washington DC area for in-person work. Availability from November 16 through December 5 is mandatory, with the exception of November 25-27 Thanksgiving break.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Events Team with all in-person and virtual event planning and execution:
  • Tracking RSVPs, setting up, and archiving events on Swoogo and Zoom platforms
  • Supporting recurring policy call logistics via Zoom, Swoogo, and Teams
  • Assist with designing marketing materials and other collateral in Canva
• Assist with the execution of the GBA Annual Dinner gala in December:
  • Monitoring RSVPs and registration outreach
  • Assisting with product bag organization and product inventory management
  • Providing registration support in advance and onsite at the event

Timeframe and Compensation

• Fall 2026 (Sept – Dec)
• 20 hours per week, hybrid in-person and remote
• $18.40/hour

Requirements

Must be a college junior, senior or graduate student with excellent organizational, research and writing skills with Microsoft Office proficiency. Customer relationship/association management software skills, particularly experience using myEmma, Salesforce and Swoogo, are a plus! This is a partially remote position; you will be provided a GBA laptop for working remotely but will be required to be able to work in the GBA office on Mondays, Tuesdays and/or Wednesdays.
