Architectural Engineering Intern

The City of Sacramento, Department of Public Works is seeking a student to support quasi-technical processes in the Architects and Engineers Section.   Technical support personnel are responsible for assisting with the general Architectural and Engineering tasks, project archiving, document scanning, project filing, light drafting, project research, field surveying, job site support and general project assistance.  Knowledge of computer programs such as Word, Excel, Outlook, and Autocad are required. Bluebeam, MS Project, and Revit experience are a plus. The student intern position will assist management on a variety of projects, by providing entry level support.    Students may perform any of the following tasks:  Physical or electronic filing, scanning of documents, writing emails and reports, CAD drafting, site investigations at City facilities, calculations, etc.  The Student Intern hourly wage will be determined based on the year the student is in college and experience. The student intern schedule will be flexible and will be determined based on the student’s school schedule. It is anticipated the student can work 24-40 hours per week during the summer, and a reduced schedule during school. Students will have the opportunity to be in the office and telecommute depending on the division’s needs.
