Tax Manager 

Full-Time • Hybrid • Wakefield, MA Experience: 10+ years public accounting • License: CPA required • Schedule: Full-time, Hybrid Base Salary: $130,000 – $165,000 per year

THE OPPORTUNITY 

We are seeking an experienced Tax Manager to join our leadership team. This role is ideal for a seasoned, client-focused professional with 10+ years of public accounting experience who is ready to take on a high impact position in a firm that values technical excellence, entrepreneurial thinking, and strong client relationships. 

RESPONSIBILITIES 

  • Supervise tax engagements in accordance with firm and professional standards 
  • Plan and schedule tax engagements with clients and internal resources  
  • Build and maintain direct client relationships  
  • Perform detailed reviews of tax returns and workpapers  
  • Conduct tax research projects  
  • Communicate with clients and team members on project status, opportunities, and issues 
  • Provide training, direction, and oversight to team members  
  • Maintain technical expertise across relevant tax areas and industry specializations  
  • Build new client relationships and manage existing book of business, including budgets and production goals 
  • Support consulting and special projects as requested by management and clients 

QUALIFICATIONS 

  • BSBA in Accounting 
  • CPA certification required 
  • 10+ years of experience in public accounting 
  • Ability to manage multiple client engagements and meet deadlines • Excellent written and verbal communication skills 
  • Organized, detail-oriented, and client-focused 
  • Experience with QuickBooks, ProSystem fx Tax, Microsoft Word and Excel

COMPENSATION & BENEFITS 

In compliance with Massachusetts law, CRR is committed to pay transparency. The base salary range for this position is $130,000 – $165,000 per year.
