JOB DUTIES

  • Answer Telephone Calls Related to Public Assistance
  • Provide Information on Cases While Following Strict Confidentiality Guidelines
  • Explain Processes and Procedures for Applying for Public Assistance
  • Make Referrals to Other Agency and Community Resources
  • Screen and Register Incoming Applications
  • Schedule Appointments and Generate Notices
  • Provide Support Services to Caseworkers and Administrative Staff
  • Conduct Interviews and Collect Verifications 
  • Utilize Computer Programs to Communicate and Document Client Needs
  • Provide a Variety of Clerical Assistance
  • Prepare Reports, Correspondence, and Case Dictation

 

 

WAGE

  • Starting at $15.54/hour

 

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

  • One year of experience as a Unit Support Worker 1
  • OR formal education in arithmetic that includes addition and subtraction, and reading and speaking common English vocabulary, one course or six months experience in typing, keyboarding, or word processing. Also requires an additional twelve months experience in typing, keyboarding, or word processing and working in an office environment handling in-person and/or telephone contacts with clients, customers, and/or general public
  • OR education, training, and/or experience in an equal amount to the minimum qualifications stated above
  • Must have Valid Ohio Driver’s License
