At the Calumet County Historical Society, interns take ownership of real projects that shape how history is preserved and shared with the community. Whether you’re designing exhibits, creating content, or uncovering untold local stories, your work will have a visible and lasting impact.

What You’ll Do
This internship is intentionally flexible and built around your interests and career goals. Interns collaborate with our team to design a customized experience that may include:
- Designing or contributing to museum exhibits (concept to installation)
- Working hands-on with archival materials and historical collections
- Conducting original research on local history topics
- Writing articles, blog posts, or interpretive content for the public
- Creating and managing social media or digital storytelling projects
- Supporting or developing community programs and events
