Chief of Staff
The Chief of Staff is a critical strategic partner to GORGIE's Founder & CEO, Michelle Cordeiro Grant. This is not an administrative role — it's an extension of the CEO's office. You'll be the connective tissue of the organization, ensuring Michelle's priorities are moving forward, cross-functional teams are aligned, and nothing falls through the cracks at the speed we operate. You thrive in ambiguity, love solving hard problems, and know how to get things done without always having direct authority.
Strategic Execution
- Serve as a thought partner to the CEO on company priorities, growth strategy, and key decisions
- Translate Michelle's vision into clear initiatives and ensure accountability across the team
- Own the CEO's operating cadence — managing priorities, agendas, and follow-through across all functions
- Prepare briefing materials, presentations, and talking points for investor meetings, board updates, and key stakeholder conversations
Cross-Functional Leadership
- Act as a liaison between the CEO and internal teams (marketing, sales, ops, finance, product) to drive alignment and remove blockers
- Lead or support high-priority special projects from inception to execution
- Identify gaps across the organization and proactively propose solutions before they become problems
- Represent the CEO's perspective in internal meetings when she can't be present
Communications & Relationships
- Manage inbound opportunities, partnership inquiries, and executive communications on behalf of the CEO
- Build strong relationships with key external partners, investors, retailers, and brand collaborators
- Help draft and refine external communications including investor updates, press materials, and high-level partner correspondence
Operational Excellence
- Drive the rhythm of the business — weekly leadership syncs, quarterly planning, OKR tracking
- Help build and improve internal processes as the company scales
- Keep a pulse on what's happening across the organization and surface key issues to the CEO proactively
What You Bring
- 3-5 years of experience in a high-velocity environment — startup, venture-backed company, consulting, investment banking, or a chief of staff/strategy role
- Exceptional organizational skills and the ability to manage competing priorities without losing the thread
- Strong written and verbal communication — you can write a crisp exec summary and hold your own in a boardroom
- High EQ and the ability to build trust quickly with diverse stakeholders, from retail partners to investors to influencers
- A no-job-too-small, no-job-too-big mentality — you'll go from strategy to execution in the same afternoon
- Genuine passion for the GORGIE brand, wellness culture, and the creator economy
- Comfort operating in a fast-growing, lean startup where things change quickly and ambiguity is the norm
Bonus Points
- Experience in CPG, beverage, beauty, or lifestyle brands
- Prior experience supporting a founder or C-suite executive directly
