Associate Veterinarian
Associate Veterinarian (Part-Time or Full-Time) – Graber’s Animal Hospital, Toledo, OH
Graber’s Animal Hospital is an independent, family-owned small animal practice in Toledo, Ohio. Founded in 1952 by Dr. Dale Graber, we are now in our second generation and have been serving the community for over 70 years.
We have excellent diagnostic equipment, a dedicated surgical suite, and a therapeutic laser. One of our veterinarians has an interest in stem cell therapy and has performed several treatments. We are also in the process of converting to a cloud-based practice management system with dictation and AI-assisted clinical summaries, which means less time on paperwork at the end of a long day. Our staff is experienced, knowledgeable, and genuinely happy to help. We are looking for a new team member who shares our approach of treating clients and their pets like family.
The Position
We are open to part-time or full-time and will work with the right candidate on scheduling. The standard schedule is 4 days a week with rotating Saturday mornings. The hospital is closed for 90 minutes around lunch, which gives you time to actually eat, run an errand, or catch up on paperwork. Evenings and out-of-hours are generally covered by a local emergency hospital. New and recent graduates are welcome. We know you need additional support and training, and we are committed to helping you develop.
Benefits (subject to pro rata)

About Toledo
For those not familiar with Toledo, the Art Museum, Metroparks system, and Zoo have all achieved national recognition. The cost of living is very affordable compared to other larger cities nearby. Downtown is undergoing a major revitalization with many new businesses, a minor league baseball team (the Mud Hens) and a hockey team (the Walleye). A Trader Joe’s is also coming to the West Side later this year. It is within easy access to major cities for weekends and days off: Ann Arbor and Detroit are under an hour away, Columbus and Cleveland are just over 2 hours, and Chicago is a direct Amtrak ride.
