Preschool Teacher Assistant

The Preschool Teacher Assistant will work alongside classroom teachers to provide individualized help and support for students. Duties may include supervising transition times, assisting with engagement of children, and documenting strategy implementation. PTAs also will likely be involved with reading to children, having children practice reading aloud themselves, assisting with phonetic decoding, correcting pencil grip, keeping children on task, assisting with material preparation, and supporting children with following directions. Our preschool is in session until 1pm each weekday morning so availability during some of that time is essential.

Our school has a very positive work culture and the time spent with the children is very rewarding. Our teaching staff has extensive experience in working with children so it is a great place to learn or enhance these skills.

Previous experience in working with children (eg camp counselor, babysitting, etc) is important. CPR certification is preferred.

Our school is located on Franklin Street so it is very accessible to campus and we have several bus stops within walking distance; however, we do not have parking available.
