Communications Internship
Mindful Kreative is seeking a Communications Intern for Fall 2026! This internship offers an immersive, primarily remote opportunity to gain real-world experience with a fast-paced, full-service strategic marketing communications agency. With a focus on writing and communications skills, the intern will gain exposure to public relations, content development, and strategic marketing initiatives.
At Mindful Kreative, interns aren't assigned busy work, they're valued members of our team who contribute to real client projects, share ideas, and gain meaningful experience that prepares them for a career in communications.
ROLE OVERVIEW
Support communications work across multiple client verticals with writing and content development, including:
- Press materials and media relations writing
- Social media copywriting
- Blog, article, and website content development
- Campaign and marketing copywriting
- Research and general content support
WHO SHOULD APPLY
Applicants should meet the following criteria:
- Senior, recent graduate or graduate student
- Pursuing or recently completed a degree in strategic communications, public relations, journalism, marketing, English, communications or a related field
- Prior internship experience required
- Strong writing skills with samples or portfolio
- Comfortable working independently and taking ownership of assignments
- Strong organization and project management skills
TIME COMMITMENT
- August-December (Specific start and end dates to be determined)
- 10–20 hours per week
- Schedule determined based on availability and class commitments
- Although this role is primarily remote, applicants must have reliable transportation for in-person meetings and events in Pittsburgh and surrounding areas as needed
REQUIRED SKILLS
- Strong written communication skills
- Strong time management and organizational skills
- Self-motivated and independent work style
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office and standard digital tools

COMPENSATION
This is a paid internship. Academic credit can also be arranged, if applicable.
