Schedule: Monday–Friday (Hours TBD)
Pay Rate: $25–$35/hour (based on experience)

Learn2Code.Live is seeking an enthusiastic and engaging Scratch Programming Instructor to teach interactive coding classes for students this fall in Daly City, CA.

 

This exciting program introduces students to the world of computer science through Scratch, one of the most popular beginner-friendly programming platforms. Students will learn how to create their own games, animations, stories, and interactive projects while developing valuable problem-solving, logical thinking, and computational skills.

 

Whether you're a Computer Science student, aspiring educator, technology enthusiast, or experienced coding instructor, this is a rewarding opportunity to inspire the next generation of creators and innovators.

 

No lesson planning required. We provide curriculum, project guides, and ongoing support so you can focus on delivering an engaging and memorable classroom experience.

 

What You'll Do

  • Lead engaging Scratch Programming classes for students in a fun and supportive learning environment
  • Teach foundational coding concepts including sequences, loops, conditionals, events, variables, and problem-solving strategies
  • Guide students in creating games, animations, stories, and interactive coding projects
  • Encourage creativity, critical thinking, and collaboration through hands-on activities
  • Adapt instruction to accommodate different learning styles and skill levels
  • Foster a positive, inclusive, and encouraging classroom culture
  • Monitor student progress and provide constructive feedback and support
  • Maintain classroom organization and effective behavior management
  • Communicate professionally with school staff, parents, and program coordinators
  • Arrive prepared and ready to deliver an exceptional learning experience

 

What We're Looking For

  • Passion for coding, technology, STEM education, and working with students
  • Familiarity with Scratch or other programming languages such as Python, JavaScript, Java, C++, or similar technologies
  • Strong communication and classroom leadership skills
  • Ability to explain technical concepts in an engaging and age-appropriate way
  • Reliable, patient, organized, and professional attitude
  • Ability to motivate and inspire students with varying experience levels
  • Prior teaching, tutoring, mentoring, camp, robotics, or youth program experience is a plus—but not required
  • Computer Science, Engineering, Education, or related backgrounds are highly encouraged to apply
