Spanish Teacher (Full-Time)

Fork Union Military Academy is seeking a passionate and dedicated Spanish Teacher to join our faculty. This position offers the opportunity to teach students in grades 7–12 and postgraduate level while helping young men develop language proficiency, cultural awareness, confidence, and academic success within a structured college-preparatory environment.

What You'll Do

• Teach Spanish language courses, including speaking, listening, reading, writing, grammar, and culture.
• Create engaging lesson plans and learning activities that support student growth and language acquisition.
• Develop and administer assessments to measure student progress.
• Provide timely feedback and maintain accurate academic records.
• Foster a positive, structured classroom environment that promotes respect, accountability, and engagement.
• Communicate effectively with students, families, and colleagues.
• Participate in department meetings, faculty collaboration, and school activities.
• Contribute to the broader life of the Academy through mentoring, advising, coaching, or extracurricular involvement as interests and experience allow.

Minimum Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Spanish, Education, World Languages, or a related field.
• Ability to teach Spanish effectively in a secondary school setting.
• Commitment to supporting the mission and values of Fork Union Military Academy.
   

Preferred Qualifications

• Teaching experience in a classroom setting.
• Virginia teaching license or eligibility for licensure.
• Master's degree in Spanish, Education, or a related field.
• Interest in coaching, mentoring, advising, or leading student activities.
