Lead STEM and Robotics Instructor

EcoRobotik is seeking a full-time Lead STEM & Robotics Instructor (Curriculum Development) to teach engaging robotics and engineering classes while helping develop and improve our hands-on STEM curriculum.
This position combines classroom instruction, curriculum development, competition coaching, and educational leadership. The ideal candidate enjoys working with students, creating engaging learning experiences, and helping a growing STEM education company expand its impact.
Responsibilities
- Teach robotics, coding, engineering, and STEM classes for students of various ages and skill levels.
- Develop and improve hands-on, project-based curriculum, lesson plans, activities, and assessments.
- Create engaging learning experiences using robotics, programming, engineering, and maker technologies.
- Coach and mentor students participating in robotics competitions, STEM challenges, and special events.
- Adapt lessons to meet the needs of diverse learners and varying experience levels.
- Communicate professionally with parents regarding student progress and program updates.
- Collaborate with team members to maintain high-quality educational programs.
- Assist with camps, workshops, outreach events, and special STEM programs.
- Continuously improve curriculum based on student outcomes, feedback, and program goals.
Requirements
- 2+ years of experience teaching, coaching, or facilitating STEM, robotics, coding, engineering, or youth education programs in classroom, camp, workshop, tutoring, homeschool, or after-school settings.
- Experience developing lesson plans, instructional materials, training resources, or educational curriculum.
- Understanding of instructional design principles and curriculum development for students of varying ages, skill levels, and learning styles.
- Working knowledge of robotics, engineering, and programming concepts using platforms such as Arduino, Micro:bit, LEGO Spike, VEX, Scratch, Blockly, Python, C++, or similar technologies.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to explain technical concepts in an engaging and age-appropriate manner.
- Strong classroom management, presentation, and student engagement skills.
- Comfortable communicating professionally with parents, students, and staff.
- Highly organized, collaborative, creative, and passionate about STEM education and hands-on learning.
- Ability to manage multiple projects, meet deadlines, and continuously improve curriculum based on student outcomes and feedback.
- Must be eligible to obtain or currently possess an Arizona IVP Fingerprint Clearance Card.
Education
Bachelor's degree in Education, Engineering, Computer Science, Technology, Instructional Design, or a related field preferred.
Equivalent experience teaching robotics, STEM, coding, engineering, or technology programs will also be considered.

Compensation & Benefits
- Hourly Rate: $22.00–$26.00 per hour (based on experience)

- Schedule note: This full-time position requires a non-traditional schedule aligned with student availability, including mid-afternoons, evenings, and Saturdays.
