About This Opportunity
CamTalk Solutions partners with licensed placement agencies in China to connect qualified native English speakers with teaching positions at Chinese schools. We manage the entire sourcing and vetting process on your behalf. There is no cost to you — our fee is paid entirely by the agency, never by the teacher.
What You Will Do
Teach English to Chinese students at the school level matched to your qualifications and the agency's placement. Positions range from kindergarten and primary through high school and language training centers. Most roles are full-time and classroom-based with structured curriculum support provided by the school.
Compensation & Benefits
(paid by the school, not CamTalk)
- Monthly salary: $1,500–$2,900+ USD depending on qualifications, experience, and school type
- Housing allowance included at most placements
- Round-trip airfare assistance available at many schools
- Health insurance provided by most employers
- Paid school holidays and national public holidays
Minimum Requirements
- Native English speaker (US, Canada, UK, Caribbean, or other English-speaking country)
- Bachelor's degree — any field
- Clean criminal background (background check required)
- Valid passport or ability to obtain one
- Available to relocate within 3–9 months
Preferred Qualifications
- TEFL, TESOL, or CELTA certification (120 hours minimum preferred)
- Prior teaching or tutoring experience
- US state or equivalent national teaching license
- Background in STEM subjects
Don't have a TEFL certification yet?
You can still apply. TEFL certification is preferred but not required to submit an application. If you are selected by an agency and do not yet hold a certification, we will guide you on affordable options to obtain one before your placement start date. Many online TEFL programs can be completed in 4–12 weeks.
Important Note on Visa Timeline
China's work visa (Z visa) process typically takes 7–8 months from application to arrival. Please plan accordingly. Your placement agency will manage visa sponsorship once a school offer is confirmed.
