Social Media and Content Intern

LatinoCircuit TV, a bilingual Latino‑owned FAST (Free Ad‑Supported Streaming Television) channel operated by DFEZ Content Management, is seeking a motivated Social Media & Programming Intern. This role is ideal for students who love TV content, stay plugged into Latino and pop culture, and are highly organized with strong follow‑up skills.  Additionally, gain hands‑on experience learning how content rights are managed in a FAST channel.

The internship is remote, offers academic credit, and includes a small stipend upon successful completion.

Please note that a $400 stipend will be paid at the end of each month.

 

Responsibilities

  • Create engaging social media posts tied to our programming, Latino culture, and trending pop culture topics
  • Monitor Latino entertainment news, viral trends, and cultural conversations to inform content
  • Draft captions, select clips, and propose creative ideas for Instagram and other platforms
  • Track platform metrics and ensure reporting is received on time; follow up with partners when data is missing
  • Assist with content ingestion, metadata organization, and previewing episodes/films
  • Support programming workflows and help maintain an accurate content schedule
  • Communicate with content partners to request missing materials and resolve delivery issues
  • Keep organized notes, deadlines, and follow‑up logs
  • Review and/or check licensing contract status, keep track of upcoming renewals or required cancellation notices

Required Skills & Qualifications

  • Strong interest in social media, TV content, entertainment, and pop culture
  • Awareness of Latino culture, creators, and media trends
  • Excellent written communication skills; bilingual English/Spanish preferred
  • Ability to create engaging, culturally relevant social posts
  • Strong organizational skills and reliable follow‑up habits
  • Comfort working independently in a remote environment
  • Attention to detail and ability to track multiple tasks at once

Preferred Skills

  • Experience with Instagram, TikTok, or other social platforms
  • Basic understanding of analytics or performance metrics
  • Familiarity with a variety of TV genres and streaming content
  • Interest in media operations, programming, or digital content workflows
  • bilingual English/Spanish preferred
