Commercial Door Technician

Our work includes coiling fire doors, rolling grilles, operable partitions, sound-control assemblies, high-speed performance doors, dock systems, wire mesh partitions, and industrial and hangar door systems.

Role Summary

As a Commercial Door Technician, you will install, service, and maintain specialty commercial door and partition systems while upholding the highest standards of safety, quality, and professionalism.

What You'll Do

  • Install, service, and maintain architectural and industrial door systems and operable walls
  • Diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical, and control-system components
  • Complete work documentation and communicate with project teams
  • Follow all Skold safety protocols and maintain clean job sites

What You Bring

  • Experience with commercial or specialty door systems or related electro-mechanical trades
  • Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to safely work at heights using ladders and lifts
  • Ability to work in all weather conditions
  • Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record
  • Ability to pass a pre-employment drug screen (including marijuana)
  • Must live within driving distance of 5730 NE 17th Street, Des Moines, IA
