Salary: $22.93 hourly rate currently/ increased $23.39 hourly rate September 1st
Hours:
- Weekends / evenings for events required for performance weeks. Schedule will flex based on events.
- Average of 12 – 25 hours per week; Minimum 4 hour shifts; Regular hours between 10am – 9pm
GENERAL DESCRIPTION
The Ticketing Services Representative is a part-time, on-site position reporting to the Box Office Treasurer. Primary responsibilities include processing ticketing transactions quickly and accurately using Tessitura CRM software and fielding phone, email, and in-person patron inquiries. As the first point of contact for audiences, this role must provide thoughtful customer service and have exemplary communication skills. The Harris Theater Box Office is open for phone support Monday to Friday 12:00 pm-5:00 pm/ 2 hours prior to showtimes for nights and weekends and walk-up support up to 2 hours before curtain through 30 minutes after a performance starts. A typical work week will be 12-25 hours. Evening and weekend availability is required. A collective bargaining agreement with the IATSE Treasurers and Ticket Sellers Union Local 750 governs the Harris Theater Box Office.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
• Handle ticket and subscription orders for Harris Theater, resident company, and rental performances
• Promptly respond to patron questions and concerns
• Provide will-call support on performance days, including greeting audience members, coordinating with the Front of House team to troubleshoot seating issues and cash handling
• Maintain ticket database with current information
• Send daily sales reports
• Assist in the maintenance of a clean and organized box office
• Other duties as assigned
EXPECTATIONS AND EXPERIENCE
As a member of the Theater team, the Ticketing Services Representative is expected to:
• Uphold the Harris Theater’s mission and values to be a home for music and dance, and embody organizational core values of artistic integrity, collaboration, belonging, and respect in all interactions with staff, partners and patrons
• Actively participate and engage in regular team meetings, share ideas, and communicate openly with peers and supervisors about questions, challenges, and successes in customer service protocols and procedures and general best practices
• Maintain professional conduct and represent the Theater positively in all interactions with artists, partner organizations, donors, and patrons
• Professionally and confidentially manage patron data and financial information/ cash in accordance with PCI DSS standards
The ideal candidate will have:
• Intermediate experience (minimum 2 years) with Box Office sales and patron account management using Tessitura ticketing system
• Intermediate experience (minimum 2 years) of understanding of Microsoft Office Suite, general computer experience, and familiarity with standard box office equipment (ex. Printers, ticket scanners, seating charts, walkie talkies, etc)
• Basic experience (minimum 1 year) of cash handling experience
• Intermediate experience (minimum 2 years) with answering a multi-line phone system and making professional calls to patrons/ clients/ vendors
• A friendly/ approachable and confident demeanor
• The ability to stay calm and collected while problem-solving with a sense of urgency
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Strong ability to multitask
• Familiarity with Ticketmaster’s TM1 Sales platform highly desirable
• Strong social skills, ability to be a good and supportive team player – personal preference to work in a group

The rate for this position is $22.93 per hour. This position is a union positions with all applicable dues required.
