Temporary Litigation Paralegal / Law Student (2–3 Month Assignment)

Schedule: Part-Time or Full-Time Available
We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Law Student or Litigation Paralegal to support the President with active litigation matters. This temporary position offers valuable hands-on experience in civil litigation, legal research, case management, and trial preparation, making it an excellent opportunity for students or recent graduates interested in litigation practice.
Responsibilities:
- Assist with drafting, formatting, proofreading, and organizing pleadings, motions, discovery requests and responses, correspondence, and other legal documents.
- Conduct legal and factual research using online legal research tools, public records, and other resources.
- Organize, review, and summarize case files, business records, medical records, and evidentiary materials.
- Support document production, discovery management, and preparation of exhibits and case materials.
- Prepare chronologies, deposition summaries, witness files, and case status reports.
- Assist with court filings, service of process, and document retrieval.
- Track litigation deadlines and help maintain case calendars.
- Provide support for depositions, mediations, hearings, arbitrations, and trial preparation.
- Coordinate with attorneys, clients, and third parties to gather information and documentation.
Qualifications:
- Current law student, recent graduate, or candidate with prior paralegal experience.
- Interest in civil litigation and legal research.
- Strong writing, research, analytical, and organizational skills.
- Excellent attention to detail and ability to manage multiple assignments.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office and Adobe Acrobat.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and exercise professional judgment.
- Self-motivated with the ability to work independently and meet deadlines.
