Duties

• Perform comprehensive dental cleanings, including scaling and polishing to remove plaque and tartar buildup.
• Conduct thorough patient assessments, including vital signs measurement and medical history review.
• Educate patients on proper oral hygiene practices, preventative care, and treatment options.
• Take dental radiographs digitally while maintaining strict infection control protocols.
• Maintain accurate and detailed medical records using a hybrid of paper charts and Eaglesoft.
• Ensure compliance with HIPAA regulations by safeguarding patient confidentiality and documentation review.
• Support infection control procedures through aseptic techniques and proper sterilization of instruments.
• Collaborate with the dental team to provide seamless patient care, especially in pediatric dentistry settings when applicable.
• Document treatment notes accurately, review medical coding for billing purposes, and assist with administrative tasks as needed.

Experience

• Previous experience working as a Registered Dental Hygienist is preferred.
• Proficiency with Eaglesoft is highly desirable.
• Strong knowledge of dental terminology, anatomy, infection control practices, and medical terminology.
• Familiarity with dental imaging techniques and vital signs monitoring is a plus.
• Demonstrated ability to work effectively within a team.
• Knowledge of HIPAA regulations, medical records management, and documentation review processes is essential.
