Firmware Engineer

As a Firmware Engineer on the Valinor Team, you will play a crucial role in designing, developing, and maintaining firmware for our Client’s cutting-edge products.  The client is TransTech Systems Inc.

General Details: 

  • Available for Communication Monday – Friday
  • Biweekly SCRUM Meetings
  • Hourly Rate between $35-45/hr based on experience (open to negotiation)
  • Exposure to exciting products and technology
  • Expect 20 hours of work per week

 Responsibilities for the Firmware Engineer: 

  • You will write, test, and maintain firmware code for embedded systems.
  • You will identify and resolve firmware related issues by analyzing code and reviewing hardware schematics.
  • You will work cross-functionally with internal teams at all levels.
  • You will write clean code and follow documentation best practices.
  • Apply problem solving skills to new and existing products.

Requirements for the Firmware Engineer: 

  • Working on Bachelor's degree in Electronics Engineering or Computer Science or equivalent
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail
  • Strong teamwork and communication skills
  • Technical:
    • Fundamentals of microcontroller architecture principles
    • Familiarity with both bare-metal development and Real-Time Operating Systems (RTOS)
    • Proficiency and hands-on experience with STM32 ARM Architecture
    • Revision Control systems such as GitHub for version control
    • Debugging to resolve issues.
    • I2C, SPI, UART, USB experience
    • The ability to read and understand schematics.
  • Must be US Citizen or Green Cardholder
