Winter 2026 State Government Trek

Career Advancement is excited to offer a state government trek in Lansing, Michigan from Monday, December 14th to Tuesday, December 15th, 2026!

This two-day immersive experience offers students a unique opportunity to explore careers in public service and gain firsthand insight into how state government operates. 

Students will meet with professionals from the Michigan Legislative Service Bureau and other state government offices to learn about the policymaking process, legislative research, public administration, and how their skills can translate to an internship or full-time job in local government.

COSTS

  • All transportation and accommodation costs will be covered by Career Advancement
  • Please note students will be responsible for lunch costs and any additional expenses during the trek

DRESS CODE

  • Business casual, with comfortable shoes as we might be walking between some visits
