Description

The Asan Nanum Foundation is a nonprofit organization established to commemorate the 10th anniversary of the passing of Chung Ju-yung, the founder of Hyundai Group. The Foundation promotes entrepreneurship, supports young entrepreneurs, fosters social innovation, and contributes to the development of a vibrant innovation ecosystem.

The Foundation operates a variety of entrepreneurship and social innovation programs while supporting startup founders, educators, social innovators, and future leaders.

Job Information

  • Position: College Intern (Fall 2026)
  • Internship Duration: 6 Months (Fixed-Term Contract)
  • Start Date: August 3, 2026
  • Work Arrangement: Hybrid Work Model
  • Work Location: MARU360 (172 Gangnam-daero, Gangnam-gu, Seoul, South Korea)
  • Working Hours: Flexible Work Schedule
    • Interns may determine their own daily start and end times within the organization's monthly working-hour requirements.

 

Available Teams & Responsibilities

  • Startup Team
    • Support programs that identify, select, and accelerate promising startups.
    • Assisting startup selection and evaluation processes
    • Supporting community-building and startup growth programs
    • Assisting with the Chung Ju-yung Startup Competition (Demo Day)
    • Supporting startup-investor IR matching programs
    • Participating in data-driven initiatives for operational improvement and decision-making
       
  • Global Team
    • Support entrepreneurs preparing for global expansion.
    • Assisting with global entrepreneurship programs such as Asan Two O'Clock, Asan Voyager, and Asan University
    • Supporting participant communities and program operations
    • Coordinating mentor matching and mentoring sessions
    • Supporting MARU residence community operations and communications
       
  • Entrepreneurship Education Team
    • Support entrepreneurship education initiatives for students, educators, and startup founders.
    • Assisting entrepreneurship education programs for youth
    • Supporting leadership coaching and educator development programs
    • Assisting with MARU startup ecosystem tours and outreach programs
    • Supporting educational content creation and management for websites and social media channels
       
  • Social Innovation Team
    • Support programs that foster social innovation and nonprofit entrepreneurship.
    • Assisting operations of the Asan Sanghoe entrepreneurship support program
    • Supporting the Asan Frontier Academy program
    • Assisting the operation and growth support of selected nonprofit startups
       
  • Communications Team
    • Support public relations, marketing, branding, and content creation initiatives.
    • Supporting external communications and marketing activities
    • Managing and operating online channels (YouTube, Instagram, Blog, Website, Newsletter, etc.)
    • Supporting content planning and distribution
    • Managing communication related to MARU facilities and community activities
    • Assisting with media monitoring and public relations reporting
       
  • Planning & Management Support Team
    • Support organizational operations and startup ecosystem initiatives.
    • Managing MARU180 and MARU360 event and seminar reservations
    • Supporting operations of MARU SF and startup global expansion programs
    • Assisting AI-driven workflow automation and operational efficiency projects
    • Supporting recruitment interviews, internal meetings, and organizational events
    • Assisting accounting, finance, administration, and general operations

Qualifications
 

  • Current undergraduate student enrolled in a four-year university
    • Students on an approved leave of absence are eligible
    • Expected graduation date must be February 2027 or later
  • Applicants who cannot maintain student status throughout the internship period are not eligible
  • Additional Requirement (Communications Team Only)
    • Applicants must submit a portfolio demonstrating communications-related experience. Examples include:
    • Personal blog, newsletter, or written content samples
    • Video content planned and produced by the applicant
    • Design work, illustrations, or visual content created by the applicant
    • Portfolio format is flexible.

 

Preferences

 

  • Experience using AI tools such as ChatGPT, Claude, or Gemini
  • Experience with workflow automation tools and processes
  • Excellent writing and communication skills
  • Experience using collaboration tools such as Notion, Slack, and Airtable
  • Strong English writing and verbal communication skills
  • Strong interest in journalism, writing, and content creation
  • Proficiency with Adobe Premiere Pro, Photoshop, Illustrator, or similar tools
  • Experience creating video, photography, written, or multimedia content
