MBA Intern – Office of the CEO (Part-Time)
Location: Flexible / Hybrid (Remote to an ASM office)
Preferred Location: Candidates based in or near St. Louis or Kansas City are strongly preferred. Candidates located in Chicago or New York City will also be considered. Remote candidates outside of these locations may be considered based on experience and program alignment.
Start: Flexible (Academic Year or Summer + Academic Year)
Hours: Part-Time (15–25 hours/week)
Duration: 1–2 years (aligned to MBA program)
Reports To: Bethany Miles, Chief of Staff, Office of the CEO
Role Overview
We are seeking a high-performing MBA intern to join the Office of the CEO in a high-visibility, consultative role. This opportunity is designed for a candidate in their MBA program who is looking to gain real-world executive exposure while operating in a part-time capacity alongside academic commitments.
This role mirrors the type of experience found in top-tier consulting environments combined with hands-on corporate strategy execution. The intern will partner closely with the Chief of Staff and senior business leaders on strategic initiatives, executive-level analysis, cross-functional coordination, and AI-forward problem solving.
In addition, this role will play a meaningful part in helping stand up the company’s emerging AI Office, supporting strategic initiatives tied to enterprise AI adoption, governance, and execution. The intern will contribute to shaping how AI is deployed across the organization in support of executive priorities, operational efficiency, and long-term strategy.
Key Responsibilities
- Partner with the Chief of Staff and Office of the CEO on enterprise-wide initiatives and executive priorities
- Conduct strategic analysis and business insights to support executive decision-making
- Support CEO-facing materials including briefing decks, executive summaries, and leadership updates
- Assist with cross-functional stakeholder coordination across multiple business units
- Analyze trends, datasets, and operational insights to inform leadership discussions
- Leverage AI tools and emerging technologies to improve workflows and executive reporting
- Support select Board, ELT, and executive meetings including preparation and follow-ups
- Operate as an embedded thought partner bringing a consulting lens to ambiguous business challenges
- Support the stand-up and ongoing development of the company’s AI Office, including strategy, operating model, and priority initiatives
- · Partner on enterprise AI initiatives aligned to executive and CEO-sponsored priorities
- · Conduct research, analysis, and benchmarking related to AI strategy, governance, and use cases across the organization
Requirements
- Currently enrolled in a MBA program
- Background or strong interest in consulting, strategy, finance, operations, or corporate development
- Experience aligned to environments
- Demonstrated executive presence with strong communication skills
- Highly collaborative and comfortable operating in ambiguous environments
- Strong written and verbal communication skills for executive audiences
- AI-forward mindset with experience or interest in analytics, automation, or emerging technology
- Ability to balance part-time professional work with academic responsibilities
