Behavior Technician Apprentice

The Inspired Community Project (TICP) is seeking compassionate, motivated individuals to join our team as Behavior Technician Apprentices. This full-time position provides paid on-the-job training, professional development, and hands-on experience supporting young children in an early childhood setting.

No prior experience in behavioral health is required. We are looking for individuals who are eager to learn, grow professionally, and make a positive impact in the lives of children and families.

What You'll Be Doing

As a Behavior Technician Apprentice, you will support children throughout their daily routines while developing practical skills in child development and behavior support.

Responsibilities include:

• Assisting children during classroom activities, transitions, meals, and daily routines
• Engaging in play-based learning experiences and structured activities
• Supporting children's social, communication, and emotional development
• Helping children develop independence with self-help skills such as toileting, dressing, and handwashing
• Providing support during behavioral or emotional challenges using approved intervention strategies
• Maintaining active supervision to ensure children's safety and engagement
• Assisting with classroom organization, cleaning, and preparation of materials
• Collaborating with teachers, therapists, and other team members to support children's success
• Participating in training sessions, coaching meetings, and professional development opportunities

Work Schedule

Full-Time | 40 Hours Per Week

Monday–Friday

Available shift assignments include:

• 7:30 AM – 3:30 PM
• 10 AM – 6 PM

Compensation & Benefits

Starting Pay: $18.00 per hour

Physical Demands

• Participating in floor-based activities and outdoor play
• Assisting children during daily routines and transitions
• Responding promptly to safety and behavioral situations
