Simulation Lab Work-Study Student Worker
ROUND ROCK CAMPUS – School of Nursing Student Worker (Work Study)
The St. David's School of Nursing at Texas State University's Round Rock Campus is seeking a dependable and motivated TXST Work Study student (non-nursing major) to provide administrative and simulation laboratory support during the Fall 2026 and Spring 2027 semesters.
This position offers valuable experience in higher education, healthcare simulation, office operations, inventory management, and professional communication. A Student Worker will work closely with faculty and staff while contributing to the preparation of learning environments that support nursing education.
Schedule: 10–15 hours per week (flexible scheduling available around class commitments)
Administrative Responsibilities
- Filing, scanning, copying, and shredding documents
- Data entry and record maintenance
- Sorting and distributing mail and deliveries
- Inventory tracking and management
- Labeling and organizing supplies and equipment
- Assisting with special projects and other duties as assigned
Simulation Lab Responsibilities
- Assisting with inventory and stocking of simulation supplies
- Setting up and resetting simulation labs and skills stations
- Cleaning and maintaining learning spaces and simulation equipment
- Organizing equipment and storage areas
- Supporting simulation lab operations as needed
Preferred Qualifications
- Dependable, punctual, and professional
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Comfortable learning new software and office technology
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and comply with FERPA requirements
- Ability to lift and move supplies and equipment up to 50 pounds
- Previous customer service, office, or inventory experience is a plus, but not required
Compensation
- Up to $15.00 per hour (based on work-study allotment and experience)
