Accounting Intern

National Composites, LLC is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Accounting Intern to support our accounting and finance team. This position provides hands-on experience in accounts payable, accounts receivable, account reconciliations, financial reporting, and general accounting functions. The ideal candidate is pursuing a degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field and is eager to develop practical skills in a fast-paced manufacturing environment while contributing to the accuracy and efficiency of our financial operations.

Essential Functions:

Responsibilities of the Accounting Clerk will include, but are not limited to, the following:

  • Processing due invoices for payments.
  • Comparing purchase orders, prices, terms of payment and other charges.
  • Assembling, reviewing, and verifying invoices and check requests.
  • Process, verify, and post receipts for goods sold or rendered.
  • Post customer payments by recording cash, checks, and credit card transactions.
  • Post revenues by entering and verifying transactions.
  • Update receivables by totaling unpaid invoices.
  • Resolve collections by examining customer balances, pending deductions, credits, and incoming payments.
  • Post transactions into accounting system using journals, ledgers, or other records.
  • Processing transactions and performing accounting duties such as account maintenance, recording entries and reconciling books of accounts.
  • Assist with any cost or expense accounting and analysis work as assigned. 
  • Produce monthly reports and assist with month-end closing and reporting.
  • Maintain accurate historical records.
  • Maintain confidentiality of organizational information.

 

Quality Control

  • Directing objectives to maximize profitability. 
  • Monitor own performance - self-audit for accuracy and produce high level output.

 

Safety

  • Personally accountable for preventing injury and illness to self and for protecting Company assets.
