This program gives students as well as recent graduates the opportunity to gain new skill sets while also building connections, both personally and professionally. Should you be selected for this program, I ask that you take full advantage of this opportunity. *Applicants not located in the Austin area are responsible for obtaining housing and or transportation*
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Conduct in a professional manner while supporting the Governor’s messaging in all press related items and materials.
SKILLS REQUIRED:
- Strong written and verbal communication.
- Excel in both teamwork and stand-alone settings.
- Time management and problem solving.
- Willingness to learn.
EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:
- 3+ years in college (Junior year or higher).
Available to start September 2, 2026, for Fall 2026 session.
Intern supervisors will be providing feedback to interns on a consistent basis to ensure the intern has a successful internship.
The internship is a volunteer position and is NOT paid.
The intern will be working up to 25 hours a week in this division.
