Intern Texas Music 

This program gives students as well as recent graduates the opportunity to gain new skill sets while also building connections, both personally and professionally. *Applicants not located in the Austin area are responsible for obtaining housing and or transportation*

 

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Researching and marketing Texas music businesses, events, and talent. 
  • Inputting information into the Texas Music Office's databases.
  • Responding to information requests from industry professionals and the public.
  • Researching Texas music on the web. 
  • Assisting Texas Music Office staff with administrative duties approximately 10 percent of the time.

SKILLS REQUIRED: 

  • Basic office and research skills

EXPERIENCE REQUIRED: 

  • Music or music business experience preferred.

 

Available to start September 2, 2026, for Fall 2026 session.

Intern supervisors will be providing feedback to interns on a consistent basis to ensure the intern has a successful internship.

The internship is a volunteer position and is NOT paid.

The intern will be working up to 25 hours a week in this division.
