Role Description
This is a full-time, hybrid Insurance Analyst role based in the Oak Brook area in Illinois. The revenue cycle is where great care becomes a great business. This is the seat that owns it — and the first step on a defined path to leading it
What you'll do:
- Track, post, adjust, and follow up on all practice claims, including denials and appeals
- Manage patient accounts receivable
- Build, negotiate, and monitor fee schedules and payer credentialing
- Verify insurance for new and returning patients, and handle all inbound insurance calls and emails
- Maintain all claims and patient accounts with weekly reporting
- Support patient confirmations and schedule management
- Analyze payer reimbursement and provide insight on individual plans
Qualifications
- Associate or bachelor’s degree in a related field (such as Business, Finance, Healthcare Administration, or a similar discipline) or equivalent practical experience.
- Strong analytical skills, including the ability to review data, identify trends, and solve complex insurance-related issues.
- Knowledge of insurance policies and procedures, preferably in dental or healthcare insurance, including claims processing and benefits verification.
- Foundational understanding of finance concepts relevant to revenue cycle, reimbursements, and account reconciliation.
- High attention to detail, strong organizational skills, and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Proficiency with practice management or insurance systems and common office software (e.g., spreadsheets, email, documentation tools).
- Relevant experience in dental, medical, or health insurance analysis, billing, or claims processing is preferred.
- Clear and professional communication skills for collaborating with internal teams, insurers, and patients.
The base salary offered for the successful candidate will be based on compensable factors such as job-relevant education, job-relevant experience, training, demonstrated competencies, geographic location, and other factors. The salary range for this position is $70,000 - $90,000, with full benefits.
