Graphic Design Intern
Overview

The Graphic Design Intern will assist the Marketing Department in the design and layout of various projects for promotions, website, and email design support. Focus on print and digital development of design materials in a collaborative work environment.
Essential Responsibilities
- - Assist in the design, layout, and preparation of marketing materials for CEO events and publications according to aesthetic concepts and CEO brand guidelines
- - Help to produce shareable content for print and digital use
- - Assists with organization of member photo database
- - Assist with research for upcoming event promotions
- - Studies current industry materials and information in order to develop new design concepts, graphics and layouts for future projects
- - Create and update marketing collateral as needed
- - Administrative tasks as required, including printing/packing for event shipments
- - Monitors personal production schedule in Asana to ensure deadlines are met, keeping project progress updated daily
- - Assist in other special projects as required
Qualifications
- - Undergraduate (junior or senior level) or graduate student, studying graphic arts or communications
- - Proficiency in Microsoft environment (especially Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook) and Adobe Acrobat
- - Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, InDesign, Illustrator, specifically) and email layout a plus
- - Enthusiastic, motivated, and collaborative work style
- - Creative and flexible
- - Must be comfortable following direction and implementing changes, while balancing strong design and tight deadlines—pivoting easily from project to project
- - Excellent time management and organizational skills
- - Accuracy and attention to detail
- - Must be a team player who thrives in a collaborative environment
- - Ready to gain experience through learning and involvement in real projects that will grow your skills in marketing and communications
- - Desire to learn and grow in graphic design ability and understanding of typography, color, layout and imagery
Internal Relationships
Reports to the Graphic Designer. Has contact with all departments.
External Relationships
Has occasional contact with CEO members, as well as various vendors/suppliers.
This position is based at CEO’s headquarters office located in Washington, DC. Ability to be remote part of the time.
