Clinical and Wellness Chair

Powered By Love is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization rooted in grassroots action. Our mission is to translate "Love in Action" into systemic stability by delivering essential resources at scale to economically vulnerable and unhoused communities, recognizing and supporting their inherent humanity.

The Opportunity: The 831 Experience

We are offering an intensive, high-stakes Student Leadership Residency for an organized and compliance-minded healthcare strategist to serve as the Clinical & Wellness Liaison for our flagship event, The 831 Experience, taking place on October 16th–17th, 2026, in Phoenix, AZ. This high-impact, scaled community restoration event is strategically designed to serve exactly 75 unhoused guests alongside 75 volunteer navigators.

Role Purpose

As the clinical operator of this project, you will serve as the primary technical contact for mobile health partners (such as Circle the City) and take absolute ownership over ensuring the medical zone is safe and clinically sound. You will design care delivery paths, oversee biohazard protocols, and manage healthcare provider schedules. This is a local role: while operational planning can be managed online, you must have a local presence in Phoenix to map the physical medical layout, coordinate vehicle arrivals, and supervise the medical zone during live event days. You will work 160 hrs June 22nd - November 15th.

Core Responsibilities

  • Provider Integration & Logistics: Schedule and coordinate complex site requirements for mobile medical, dental, and podiatry units.
  • Compliance & Health Safety Oversight: Monitor medical areas to ensure hygiene standards meet strict regulations, managing HIPAA compliance and correct biohazard/sharps disposal protocols.
  • Patient Flow & Triage Design: Create and implement triage logic to guarantee that unhoused guests with high-priority health needs are identified and seen first.
  • Sub-Committee Leadership: Recruit, train, and manage a tight sub-committee of 3–4 specialized volunteers to execute the health zone's functional roadmap.
  • On-Ground Pod Supervision: Supervise volunteer pods within the wellness zone during live event days (October 16th–17th), maintaining high-dignity care.
  • Digital Integration: Enforce on-site workflows utilizing the Orca Scan mobile application to scan guest QR wristbands, automatically updating profiles and tracking real-time service delivery.

Job Qualifications

  • Current undergraduate student, graduate student, or recent graduate majoring in Healthcare Administration, Nursing, Public Health, Pre-Med, Health Sciences, or a related field.
  • 1–2 years of experience working in clinic reception, medical administrative support, public health volunteer tracks, or hospital volunteering (student health club leadership or prior healthcare internships are highly acceptable).
  • Strong working knowledge of basic healthcare compliance regulations, including HIPAA and fundamental clinical sanitation standards.
  • Meticulous attention to detail with the capability to plan efficient logistical flows (such as triage paths or room staging).
  • Outstanding communication and problem-solving skills, with the ability to remain completely calm and focused under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
