Company Description
Fylm TV is a creator economy platform offering a Netflix-style viewing experience, curating high-quality independent films, shorts, and series while giving filmmakers built-in monetization and audience engagement tools. As films gain views, revenue, and engagement, IP buyers and studios can track traction to pursue acquisition deals through the platform. We operate on a freemium model and generate revenue through advertising, subscriptions, and marketplace commissions from merch, donations, and future IP deals.
Alongside the platform, we are hosting the Fylm TV Film Festival, a 3-day event in Detroit designed to bring together filmmakers, entertainment-tech startups, industry professionals, and audiences. The festival will feature film screenings, networking events, workshops, exhibitor booths, and opportunities for filmmakers to connect with new audiences and resources. This will be our first annual event, currently scheduled for November 2026.

Role Description
This part-time remote role is for a Fylm TV Film Ambassador. The Film Ambassador Program is Fylm TV’s referral program, designed for people who are passionate about independent film and want to help filmmakers discover new opportunities for visibility, monetization, and festival exposure.
Film Ambassadors will be responsible for sharing information about Fylm TV and the Fylm TV Film Festival with independent filmmakers, film communities, creative groups, and relevant networks. Ambassadors will receive a commission for each completed film submission generated through their discount code or tracked outreach process.
This role is ideal for someone who already has access to filmmaker communities, film schools, creative networks, online groups, or personal relationships with directors, producers, writers, actors, and other film industry professionals.
Key Responsibilities
Promote Fylm TV and the Fylm TV Film Festival to independent filmmakers and film communities
Share referral links, discount codes, submission information, and festival/platform updates
Conduct outreach through email, social media, online communities, film schools, festivals, and personal networks
Identify filmmakers who may be interested in submitting to Fylm TV or the Fylm TV Film Festival
Help explain the value of Fylm TV as a streaming, monetization, and audience-building platform for indie filmmakers
Track outreach activity and referral progress when requested
Represent the Fylm TV brand professionally in conversations with filmmakers and partners
Provide feedback from filmmakers to help Fylm TV improve its messaging, submission process, and outreach strategy
Qualifications
Strong interest in independent film, filmmaking, entertainment, or creator communities
Comfortable reaching out to filmmakers, creatives, students, artists, and online communities
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Ability to explain Fylm TV’s mission clearly and professionally
Self-motivated and able to work independently in a remote environment
Existing network of filmmakers, film students, actors, producers, writers, or creative professionals is a plus
Experience with social media outreach, community building, ambassador programs, or referral programs is a plus
Familiarity with FilmFreeway, film festivals, indie film communities, or filmmaker groups is a plus
Must be able to follow referral tracking instructions to ensure commissions are properly credited
Compensation
This is a commission-only role. Film Ambassadors are paid for each completed film submission generated through their tracked referral link, discount code, or approved referral method. There is no hourly pay or base salary for this role.
