Pool Manager
The Cosumnes Community Services District is seeking qualified individuals for the position of Pool Manager in our Aquatics Division. This position will fill seasonal vacancies at the Elk Grove Aquatics Center, Barbara Wackford Community and Aquatics Complex and Jerry Fox Swim Center.
Under close supervision, the Pool Manager plans, organizes, and directs programs and staff at District owned and operated swimming pool facilities. This position may be charged with the opening and closing duties of a specific program or facility. Incumbents manage the implementation of aquatic programs such as swim lessons, Junior Guard, Golden Guard, public recreation swim, lap swim, water aerobics, and special events.
Salary Information
The salary range for the Pool Manager classification is between $21.00 - $22.79 per hour. The District typically appoints new employees at step 1 of the salary range. Consideration for an appointment higher than step 1 will be based on experience, education, or the need for unique skills or knowledge and shall be no more than the mid-point of the salary range.

Any equivalent combination of training and experience which provides the required skills, knowledge, and abilities may be considered qualifying at the sole discretion of the District. A typical way to obtain the knowledge and skills would be:
Education and Training for Pool Manager:
Certifications must be obtained by time of appointment and must be retained throughout employment as a condition of employment.
- High school diploma or equivalent;
- Possession of an American Red Cross (ARC) Lifeguard Training Certification;
- Possession of a valid ARC Water Safety Instructor Certification;
- Possession of a valid ARC Lifeguard Training Instructor Certification.
Experience:
- Two (2) seasons of experience in the aquatics field which demonstrates possession of the knowledge, skills, and abilities required of a Pool Manager.
