Part-Time 11th/12th Grade American History Instructor

Summary: The 11th/12th Grade American History Instructor will teach a mixed classroom of approximately 20 high school students. This course will be scheduled as two class periods – either Tuesday/Thursday or Wednesday/Friday, from 9:00-9:55am. The teacher is responsible for American History instruction, for creating lesson plans and assignments based on the provided curriculum,and for posting grades and assignments to SchoolCues, the school’s student information system. Previous History teaching experience is preferred, especially within the Classical Christian model.

Position type: Part-time. Instruction period is 9:00-9:55am W/F or T/R, depending on teacher availability. Some teacher training and professional development days are also required.

Start date: Classes begin September 8, 2026.

Required qualifications: Bachelor's degree in related field; agreement with and support of the school's Statement of Faith; strong commitment to Christian education and the Classical Model of education.

Additional desirable qualifications: Teaching experience at a Classical school, teaching certification, and/or advanced degree
